When work is rewarding

It is taken for granted and simplistic to say that you work for meet their own economic needs. But work, to be rewarding, must be seen with different eyes.

When work is rewarding

Often we don't stop to reflect on the positive returns that work has on each of us. From my point of view, those who want to have the right approach to the world of work must see in it the realization of an important part of their person and find in work a personal gratification, as a person inserted in a productive and social context.

Each of us is a link in the chain of life and must make a contribution by trying to maintain a good inner balance it's a good relationship with others. To feel good, a person must feel satisfied with their work and see their skills recognized and appreciated in the context in which they operate.

The self-esteem of each of us is linked to different areas:

  • the affective sphere
  • the sphere of work
  • the social sphere

These intertwine to form the image that each of us has of himself. Even those who for various circumstances do not "need" to work for a living, still want to be an active and integral part of society and promote activities that are useful to themselves and to those around them.

Conversely, those who feel forced to work only on the basis of need or do something that is personal gratification in any way, they end up feeling frustrated and making their job sterile. Another important part of working life is the socialization which occurs when a regime of exchange between people is established: giving and receiving information for mutual enrichment. Not only is it important to continue to seek new knowledge to improve, but it is equally important to pass on to others what has been learned to create added value.

The involvement in the circulation of ideas within the work group is the main testimony of a good functioning of the same.
