This article aims to show you how you can always feel motivated even in the most difficult moments.

Very often it happens that, after setting a goal, you lose the thrust along the way and over time also the motivation to reach it… but why does this happen? What are the reasons why many get stuck on their way to their dreams?

Before even continuing with the reading, I suggest you take this test to evaluate your current level of motivation.

I know perfectly well… failing on your way to your goals is depressing to say the least. Not only does it make you feel like a failure, it also makes you question many paradigms of your life that you thought certain.

Inside the manual I'll explain the secrets to unleashing your true potential and shattering whatever goal you decide to bring into your life.

Reasons: 2 factors behind them

I'll tell you about a concept that's vital to understanding how to always have the right motivations to act.

If you are interested, however, in having an overview of what motivation means, I refer you to this article in advance.

Your motivation is generated by two factors that concur in equal measure to give you the impetus to action. Of these two, the latter is often greatly underestimated.

What are these two factors?

The following formula applies in relation to your motivations:

In order for you to be motivated it is essential to keep the values of both factors high. Let's say that, on a scale of 1 to 10, you should be in a position to always have them level equal to or greater than 7.

But let's spend a few more words on what each of the two factors represents.

Have desire towards a certain goal means strongly wanting that this really happens. Craving for the achievement of your purpose, visualizing from today the benefits you will get with its realization.

The second factor, the confidence (or believing), refers instead to how confident you are that you can achieve your goal. As much as you may wish to reach your goal, if you are not the first to believe that you can do it, you will not be able to really reach it in practice.

So how do you manage to keep both of them at a high level? Read on, I tell you now, considering one factor at a time.

The reasons must be sought within you

I often say this in my articles on motivation, but since as they say repetita iuvant, I'll explain it here too.

To be motivated you need to have reasons inside you, which push you to act and wake up every day with a great desire to do. You must have reasons why you know that the suffering and commitment you are putting into everything you do today will one day pay off, and the reward is the biggest you can imagine, that is your happiness.

The only way to keep your desire (and therefore your motivation) always at the highest levels, is to connect each goal that you set yourself in a more general framework, that encompasses your vision.

Having a bigger drawing, which guides you in everything you do, is essential to give you direction. You will understand that every single activity you do day after day is a small step that brings you closer to the summit.

Therefore, it all begins with the to clarify within yourself. Who do you want to be? Where do you want to go? What contribution do you want to leave to others? Basically, what do you want to do with your life?

By visualizing your goals and the benefits you will have by reaching them, all your hesitations will vanish and the desire to reach your goal will be strong, constantly accompanying you throughout the journey.

The motivations depend on your thoughts

But desire by itself is not enough. You may also wish to get rich within a month, but that won't work by itself. As I told you, that's not the only factor contributing to your motivation.

If I asked you how many are the chances of achieving such an ambitious goal as that of becoming rich in such a short time, you would tell me that certainly they are almost nil.

Well, this is where the second factor comes into play, the confidence. Not believing in one's potential, like lack of desire, kills your motivation. But at the same time it is important that you do not go, as they say, to shoot yourself in the foot. I'll explain what I mean below.

There are two major schools of thought regarding how to set your goals:

  1. Set yourself goals great, ambitious e almost impossible;
  2. Set yourself goals achievable according to the one who poses them, of the SMART type;

For a long time I have wondered what is the best approach to follow. But one day, also following further investigations, the solution appeared before me.

Ambitious goals are fine when you think in the long run, that is, in a time frame of 10/15 years. In this context, you can really think big. The fact that there is such an extended time frame means that in your eyes these goals are not so unachievable.

But in the short term, it's important to set targets instead that you truly believe you can achieve. Because let's face it, you can't do magic within a month. As Gary Vaynerchuk says, success is not built overnight, but it requires a constant and prolonged commitment.

Therefore, in order for the second factor to be kept at high levels as well, you will have to bring it up in the short term concrete and achievable goals. The law of attraction will ensure that, through the trust you place in yourself, everything you need to get to the finish is prepared.
