We have forty million reasons to fail but not a single excuse is a motivational quote from Rudyard Kipling that I fully agree with. We are, in fact, always ready to look for excuses to justify our failuresinstead of take full responsibility of the results we get in life.
I losers they have one thing in common: they know excuses for not being successful and do not hesitate to use them as an alibi to justify the inability to fulfill themselves in life. Some excuses may even be partially true, while others are completely unreal or imaginary. In any case, it is not possible to be successful if you use excuses. The world rewards those who act, not those who complain (I already suggested you in another article by take responsibility for your life).
We have forty million reasons to fail but not a single excuse is an aphorism that teaches us that not we should never consider an apology. There are certainly contingencies and events that we cannot control; this is beyond doubt. But it is certain that we can control ourselves. Through ourselves and our decisions we can, in fact, influence our existence in an important way. Better try to to direct our life in a certain direction rather than letting ourselves be completely carried away by the wind; do not you think?
But why are people always looking for justifications?
The reason is simple: the alibis that people usually create do not exist in reality; they exist only in their mind. And it is quite natural try to defend their creatures. It is therefore a habit as old as humanity itself! And habits are difficult to eradicate, especially if they are rooted. Furthermore, excuses "flatter" us: gthey justify our actions (or non-actions) and make the burden of defeat less heavy.
Why people spend so much time deliberately deceiving themselves by creating alibis to cover up their weakness has always been a mystery to me. The same time, if used differently, would be enough to cure the weakness, and then no alibi would be needed.

The most used excuses to justify one's failures always start with an "if ..."
Rudyard Kipling through the sentence We have forty million reasons to fail but not a single excuse it encourages us, therefore, not to seek excuses. If you want to stop using excuses, you must first identify which alibis you adopt most often. Here is a list which will help you take an inventory of the excuses to oppose:
- If I didn't have a family ...
- If I had recommendations or support ...
- If I had the money to invest ...
- If I had studied ...
- If I could find a new job ...
- If only I had more time ...
- If times were better ...
- If there were no crisis ...
- If others understood me ...
- If the environment around me were better ...
- If I could be reborn or relive my life ...
- If you weren't afraid of the judgment of others ...
- If they offered me an opportunity ...
- If only now I had another chance ...
- If others were not angry with me ...
- If only you were younger ...
- If nothing could stop me ...
- If only I were free to do what I want ...
- If you were born rich ...
- If I had met the "right" people ...
- If I had someone else's talent ...
- If you have any information…
- If only I had seized the opportunities that have come my way ...
- If people didn't make me angry ...
- If I don't have to look after the house and look after my children ...
- If I could save some money ...
- If the boss appreciated me more ...
- If only someone would help me ...
- If my family understood me ...
- If I lived in another city ...
- If only I could start ...
- If I had someone else's character and charisma ...
- If I weren't so overweight ...
- If my contributions were recognized ...
- If only I had more luck ..
- If I could pay my dues ...
- If I hadn't failed ...
- If you only knew how ...
- If they weren't all against me ...
- If you didn't have all these worries ...
- If people weren't so stupid ...
- If I had married the "right" person ...
- If my family had been different ...
- If you were sure of me ...
- If you weren't born under the wrong star ...
- If you don't have to work so hard and make so many sacrifices ...
- If I hadn't wasted so much money ...
- If I didn't have a "past" ...
- If only I had an independent job ...
- If others would give me more consideration by listening to me ...
- If you had the courage to see me for who I really am ...
Start from this last point: cTry to see yourself as you really are and work on yourself to improve yourself. Many of the excuses listed above are likely to belong to you. Get rid of them by analyzing them carefully. Whatever the alibi is - if you think about it - you will find something wrong with you. Only by identifying what is wrong with you will you be able to change it. So, rather than building your own alibis, spend more time analyzing and understanding your weaknesses and flaws: you will surely find solutions to many of your problems.
