It is good for the body to consume five servings a day of fruit and vegetables, it is well known! There must be three portions of vegetables, in every possible form.
Vegetables are fat-free foods, rich in fiber and valuable substances such as minerals, such as the potassium and magnesium which serve to defeat the sense of exhaustion and fatigue that are perceived when the degrees of the thermometer begin to rise.
And then there are vitamins and lots of water. These are nutritional properties that are at their best when the vegetable is consumed raw and crunchy, but if you really want to cook it, steam cooking is preferable.
In short, the summer vegetables must bring the body a load of freshness, color, energy and vitality!
On the table and as a snack
Summer comes with a basket full of seasonal vegetables: Swiss chard, cucumbers, chicory, onions, spring onions, green beans, beans, peas, broad beans, lettuce, aubergines, potatoes, peppers, tomatoes, leeks, radishes, rocket, courgettes.
Ad August carrots, spinach and the first pumpkins also arrive, which at the end of the month give way to cabbage, savoy cabbage, leeks, red radicchio and valerian. A potpourri rich in precious substances, to make our lunches, dinners and picnics with friends always a party!

Within the three portions of vegetables to be consumed throughout your day, also vary the colors! Feed on the colors of life! and the awareness campaign by the country and the European Union to eat in a conscious way, even vegetables. Each color has its own properties, which are important to know and appreciate.
Green light therefore also to smoothies e centrifuged which see summer vegetables as the protagonist, right from breakfast.
Here is an excellent seasonal centrifuged: put in the centrifuge two small courgettes, a carrot, a cucumber, a stalk of celery, half an apple, a piece of ginger. Operate and then season with salt and pepper to taste!
