It is the first vegan supermarket of Europe. To inaugurate it at the end of February in the city of Dortmund, Germany, a young couple, Kim and Raf who - after selling their products online for some time - have decided to open a real shop.
As this German blog reports, within the Veliciuos Veggie Shop there are more 1.800 organic and zero-kilometer products, in which i animal derivatives, such as milk, cheese and eggs.
A formula that we could define bio-ethics, because it looks at eco-sustainability and ethics because in addition to being organic it is entirely cruelty free
It all started with an experiment, the “Vegan Wonderland” e-shop that the two boys had opened on the web, a way to contain expenses and guarantee everyone a personalized supply. In a short time, however, the numerous requests for vegan products prompted the two German boys to open a “physical” store, where today they offer food and food products, but also detergents, cosmetics and food for dogs and cats. All in just 90 square meters.
A success given above all by the presence of ben 600.000 vegans throughout Germany!
But that's not all, because Kim is also actively involved in the dissemination of good vegan practices and for this she has written a book, Vegan Wondercakes, in which she explains how to delicious desserts without resorting to milk, butter and eggs, and has also recently introduced a vegan catering in which it prepares food and drinks free of animal derivatives.
What do you say, if they opened it here in your country, would you be able to repeat its success?
