Books that change your life: the 7 that changed my existence.
Change is never painful, only resistance to change is.
BuddhaAs I often write, change is a process which involves various aspects of our existence and which takes shape day by day, minute by minute.
But before any major change there must be a transformation within ourselves.
If this transformation has not taken place until now, it is because we need a spark to move something in our mind.
In my life I have read numerous books but not many texts have given me something to change and have given me this spark.
What should books that change your life do?
It might sound trite, but these books that change your life, what should they actually give to the reader?
A book that starts from such an ambitious assumption, should contain information capable of unlocking something in our existence: let's see some examples.
- A path of profound inner change and effective
- A mental unblocking that prevents us from being happy here and now
- Specific information to change our financial situation (without many frills)
- Stories and parables that they act in our subconscious eliminating mental blocks
- A new point of view to see the world with new eyes
These are just examples, but a life-changing book may contain one or more of these characteristics.
Among all those I have read, there are only 7 books that change your life and that each of us should read: let's see them.
7 life-changing books to read
# 1 On the right track
On the right path is a book written by Francesco Grandis, published for the first time in 2015.
Since Francesco's writing is very eloquent, I leave you at the very first lines of his book.
It was August 9, 2009, I had not yet turned thirty-two.
The night before I had called my parents: in those days they were spending a short vacation in the mountains, a few hundred kilometers from where I live, and I had asked them for a meeting to talk about an important matter.
I'm sure that phone call, and the tone of urgency in my voice, surprised and perhaps alarmed them.
It is not often that I call for advice. Perhaps it would be more correct to say that it never happens.
They accepted without hesitation and we decided to have lunch together in a restaurant halfway down the road.
The next day I was driving unhurriedly along the outlying roads of the Venetian hinterland.
The car radio turned on at a random station and the volume turned up to cover my thoughts.
Suddenly something, perhaps already cracked, broke inside me. I just had time to pull the car over.
I stopped the engine and burst into tears, my head resting on the steering wheel.
Not bad right? If this first part has positively stimulated you, you can find Francesco's book by clicking here.
# 2 The way of the peace warrior
Warning! Don't get fooled by the title of this book.
I know that at first glance it might seem like a text that tells the story of some boxer or that exposes some empty philosophy.
But is not so.
The way of the peace warrior is a book that completely changes your life.
The story begins with the main character, Dan, meeting a very special person who will later become his life teacher.
This person, whose real name will never be discovered (in this book, but in the next Yes, keep reading), will be ironically called Socrates and with his teachings will change Dan's existence forever.
The book is autobiographical and the author, Dan Millman, claims that much of the story in the book actually happened.
A film was also made from the book that I put on my list of mind-opening films.
# 3 Socrates' travels
The Travels of Socrates is the prequel to the book we just saw though must absolutely be read after the way of the warrior of peace.
This time Dan Millman tells the story of his mentor who ironically has always called Socrates.
The story is set in a very fascinating and historical period will shed light on Socrates' real name, on its history and on all the difficulties it has overcome to be able to become the Socrates that we have known in the way of the warrior of peace.
The contents of this life-changing book are much more mature than the previous one and often more raw and gory, so prepare yourself for a new kind of experience.
The Travels of Socrates is undoubtedly one of my favorite books ever.

# 4 Start over on your own
I don't like books that waste pages and pages to talk about empty philosophies and I admit that the first time I picked up this text by Osho I thought it was one of these books.
Already on the first pages I changed my mind and I devoured every single word contained in the text.
This work by Osho is considered by many to be the best, including myself.
The text is full of stories and parables that open the mind and push us towards new ones forms of reasoning that will trigger profound transformations within ourselves.

# 5 Highway to wealth
Let it be clear that this book is about material wealth: of money.
We are used to seeing our life change thanks to sudden flows of money that come unexpectedly who knows where.
While I disagree completely, Highway to Wealth is the only truly fair and intellectually honest text on the subject of money.
MJ approaches the subject in a pragmatic and concrete way, dismantling the clichés about money and the phony strategies that many gurus sell in their courses.
# 6 The weapons of persuasion
Even the title of this book could be misleading but, as I wrote before, let's not get fooled by a cover.
The weapons of persuasion is a text written by Robert Cialdini, one American psychologist.
The book is well known in marketing, but reading it is a journey into every aspect of life that involves a relationship between two people.
The daily aspects of our behavior are addressed: why we do certain things, why we choose one thing over another and why we behave in certain ways.
The weapons of persuasion is definitely one of the life changing books, making us aware of many mental patterns that we consciously or unconsciously follow every day.

# 7 ZenChange - The book that changes your life
If you want something more structured you must know that I have created a real course to radically transform your life.
I'm talking about ZenChange.
In my ebook I have poured all my knowledge and my experience, but unlike the excellent texts we have seen, I do not just make reflections.
In the manual in addition to the parables and the theory, I offer a real and concrete method to transform and improve one's life with the techniques that I myself have used to change mine.
If you really want a book that changes your life it takes a 360-degree transformative manual.
Books that change your life that make you think
These were my 7 texts that change your life after reading them.
Each book (or manual) has something unique to offer at a specific time in our life.
Sometimes books are like medicines, each text is used to cure a specific problem, we must therefore find the right medicine that suits us at this juncture of life.
