What are we looking for in the world? Health, peace, money, love? The wisdom of the Tibetan monks gives us the answer: we seek personal satisfaction, so that we can then share it with others.
Tibetan Buddhism developed in the Himalayas, spreading and becoming important in other areas such as northern India, Nepal and Bhutan. The wise Tibetan monks give us some tips to live a happier and fuller life. We show you some of them in this article:
- Speak softly, but think quickly
-Don't judge people by their family
- When you say "I love you," say it sincerely, with your heart and not out of inertia
-When you say "I'm sorry", do so by looking your interlocutor in the eye. Apologies must be heard.
-Never laugh at someone else's dreams, or discourage them from fulfilling them.
-Give people more than they expect and do it with pleasure
-Always keep in mind your favorite poem or phrase that represents you
-Don't believe everything you hear, don't waste everything you have, sleep like there's no tomorrow

Share everything with the children, especially your knowledge. It is the only way to be immortal.
Be generous with the earth. She gives you what you need every day.
Never interrupt someone when they are praising you.
Do not torment yourself with the problems of others and do not give useless advice.
Don't trust people who kiss without closing their eyes.
Visit, at least once a year, a place you have never been to.
If you make more money than you need, use some to help others.
Always remember that not all wishes can come true.
Respect the elders, they have already passed through the streets that you are now traveling on.
Judge your success by what you have had to sacrifice to get it.
-Your self is the end point of your journey, that is, the attainment of your deep inner knowledge.
Gabriel GarcÃa Marquez said that we become wise too late… Perhaps wisdom comes too soon and it is we who do not know how to access it. We spend half of our life trying to find answers to everything and getting everything we want.
If we put these tips into practice and acted following these values, we could achieve the inner tranquility that would greatly facilitate our life. We live in a world that leaves no room for spirituality and self-cultivation. Looking inward is very difficult, but it's worth it.
