Usually the experience of an emotion in a human being involves a set of cognitions, behaviors and beliefs about the world that we use to evaluate a specific situation and that affect the way we perceive that situation.
Each emotion serves as a personal map of why it allows us to understand ourselves, to learn to manage ourselves and to understand the people around us. For a long time, emotions were not considered important, while more relevance was given to the more rational part of the human being.
Our emotions they allow us to distinguish our personal moods, motivations, desires, needs and even goals. They allow us to guess the future behavior of a person, even if not in a precise way.
