Depression and anxiety are not synonymous with weakness or personal choice, we cannot decide whether or not we want them to accompany us.
Absolutely. Emotional problems don't work like that, it's not about "I want to feel bad and let myself drown in the pit of sadness or anxiety." They are not signs of weakness or fragility or poverty of soul, much less of surrender or abandonment.
It can happen to everyone. A "good" day everything loses the sense it had, there is nothing more to motivate, it is difficult even to get out of bed, one feels deeply sad or irritable.
Today's article focuses on this point: our relationship with the people around us changes. It is not an easy situation for anyone and, in fact, criticisms and misunderstanding infected comments and attitudes are likely to arise right now.
Evidently this is an indirect invitation to live by inertia and to distance our life, as well as to reinforce the vicious circle that has pushed us into the trap. Far from bringing clarity to our state and having precise information about it, our atmosphere is clearing more and more.
In our society there is great cruelty towards psychological and emotional pain, considered second, third or even fourth category. In fact, the value we place on our psychological health is truly terrifying.
Just as it would never occur to us to ignore a wound that is infected or from which blood does not stop flowing, a continuous and excruciating stomach pain or a severe headache, we cannot refrain from taking physical pain into consideration.
In other words, we cannot let time heal us, because we run the risk that this does not happen and that, on the contrary, more wounds open up, infections spread and our problems become paralyzed.
