Autumn arrives and it seems that sadness invades us, as well as the darkness of the night, nostalgia and cold; we see the distant summer and it seems that our life is reduced to working, eating and sleeping ... However, we can learn from autumn, which drops its leaves; thus, we should drop our sadness.
Sadness is one of the emotions that remains inside us for the longest time, because it is something we mull over a lot, which extends its permanence. However, we must be careful and prevent sadness from taking hold of us, to avoid that nostalgia invades us and that it remains there, permanently, covered up.
“Every life has its sad days and its happy days. Happiness comes from deciding which ones we want to remember ”.

7 tips to make sadness fall
Overcoming sadness and letting it fall is possible, it is enough to put in the good will to succeed, in order to change our way of seeing things and recover the smile. It is complicated and it is up to us to act with courage. So here are 7 tips to let go and overcome pain.
Cry when you need it
Sometimes, out of shame or so as not to make others worry, we don't give ourselves permission to cry, although it is necessary to let our tears fall when they struggle to come out. When we cry, we drop our sadness in the form of little salty memories. If you feel the need, cry. Sometimes we can't choose where or who to be with, but crying is often uncontrollable and there's nothing wrong with that.
Crying has been shown to generate endorphins, which means our body relaxes and we feel better. Drop your tears and release pressure by crying if you need it ... Do not be afraid.
Playing sports
Moving, doing physical exercise that is pleasant makes us feel better, gives us energy and the desire to move forward, strengthens our self-esteem and our desire to live and rejoice. Exercising releases endorphins and other chemicals that improve our mood. You can play a sport you like progressively, increasing the training time every week, up to one hour of sport per day.
Make an effort to smile
Try to smile even if you are not well. Sometimes it is difficult because we do not want to smile, but it is necessary to try to overcome our sadness and be able to draw a smile on our face, to improve our mood. Why not give a child a smile when he looks at you, that waiter who serves you every day, your friends or your partner? It doesn't matter to whom, just smile and convey your happiness.
"Well, essentially this is how I look at life: full of loneliness, misery, suffering, unhappiness and unfortunately it lasts too short"
-Woody Allen-
Accept your feelings
Accepting feelings such as anger, pain, frustration, or sadness helps us see life from a more hopeful point of view. We can't deny the negative feelings, but we can stop apologizing for being sick and stop repressing what we feel, to accept our emotions and feelings.
Learn to meditate
Meditation can be useful for accepting sadness without judging it, without judging ourselves. È It has been shown that practicing meditation can change the way the brain reacts to sadness.
A widely used meditation technique is the so-called mindfulness or "conscious attention". It is about living in the present to enjoy the here and now, without judging. To improve our mood, just meditate for a day.
Understanding what the stages of sadness are
Almost all pain and sadness have five phases: denial, anger, negotiation, depression, and acceptance. However, not all people know how to manage the phases in the same order. Despite this and in any case, sadness is gradual and over time its intensity decreases. No one can tell you how you should feel, only you can identify how you feel and manage those feelings.
Don't feel guilty about the way you experience your sadness. Some of the pain phases get mixed up, but it's also possible not to experience some of these phases at all. Each of us experiences pain in a different and unique way.
Seek help from friends and family
The help of our friends and family is essential when we are sad, because they know us well and love us, which means that they will support us and help us to overcome our state of mind. It is important to feel surrounded by people who show their love to us and who want the best for us. Finding someone who listens to you will help you feel that the sadness fades, that it becomes lighter.
“Never stop smiling, even when you are sad, because you never know who might fall in love with your smile”.
