Sometimes we let ourselves be taken by our responsibilities to the point of forgetting why we are in the world or perhaps leaving the responsibility and the opportunity to determine it to others. For this reason, today we have decided to offer you 10 phrases to remind you that life is beautiful, that we have reason to embrace it and find a destination for it.
Sometimes we do not realize that it is not life that has to change, but the perspective we take in front of it. A simple life, but lived from the bottom of the heart, can be more satisfying than another one marked by endless successes.
Phrases to remember that life is beautiful allow us to understand that we are in the world to be happy. That obstacles are just a way of learning and that each of us deserves to feel good and to achieve what we propose. All this is the adventure of life.
"A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable, but much more useful than a life spent doing nothing."
-George Bernard Shaw-
Three phrases that remind us that life is beautiful
One of the phrases that remind us that life is beautiful was uttered by the great Bob Marley. He expresses the concept in a simple but at the same time fascinating way. He reads like this: "Love the life you live. Live the life you love". Love is at the center of everything and it is from it that everything takes on meaning.
For his part, Soren Kierkegaard offers us a splendid reflection on this: “Life is not a problem to be solved. It's a mystery to live ". With these words the philosopher invites us to stop living as if existing were a matter linked to the mind and intellect. On the contrary, you have to let yourself go to the experience in a natural and spontaneous way.
On the other hand, Helen Keller pronounces the following: "Either life is an adventure to be lived boldly, or it's nothing". The word "adventure", in this case, does not refer to a series of incredible adventures, rather to the fact that life is a challenge that must be faced with enthusiasm. A constant effort to become the best expression of ourselves.
Happiness
Happiness is one of the most recurring themes in phrases that remind us that life is beautiful. The following statement by Viktor Frankl realistically transports us towards the search for a state of happiness that we all seek, but which we often do not know how to define. He says: “Happiness cannot be achieved with the desire to be happy. It cannot be pursued, it must follow: one must have a reason to be happy ”.
This phrase indicates that happiness is not a state in itself, but accompanies a greater reality: that of pursuing an ideal that transcends the limits of the individual. That of positioning oneself on a higher level: that of great values. There are numerous assonances with another sentence, this time by Gandhi, which argues: "Happiness is when what you think, what you say, what you do, are in harmony".
At the same time, Paulo Coelho reports that "Happiness is something that multiplies when it is shared". With this sentence he emphasizes how serving others, doing something for them, increases well-being in human beings. Happiness is not an individual theme.
Finally, John Lubbock insists that we ourselves choose to adopt a point of view that allows us to be happy or not. He says: "Happiness is something you have to practice, like the violin". Happiness, therefore, is also a constant practice, the willingness to exercise one's will in this sense: to be happy.
Make life an unforgettable experience
Among the phrases that remind us that life is beautiful, we cannot miss those that show us the way to discover the wonders that existence encloses. Deborah Norville says the following words: "When you are true to yourself in what you do, fascinating things happen". In other words, being yourself causes everything around us to come into harmony with what we like and want.
For his part, Franklin D. Roosevelt points out: “Happiness does not reside in the mere possession of money; lies in the joy of achievement, in the emotion of creative effort ". This sentence speaks to us of happiness, one of the moods of those who live life intensely. As Roosevelt says, one of the ways to cultivate it is to work creatively and celebrate the fruits of your labor.
William Hazlitt also gives us a wonderful phrase to remind us that life is beautiful. He says: “A delicate word, a kind look, a good-natured smile can shape wonders and work miracles". You are absolutely right. It is in these small gestures and sensations that the true heartbeat of existence is contained. It is important to give them the right value.
What matters is knowing that life is beautiful because it is the only opportunity we have to be. To be means to know ourselves and to release all our potential, in order to improve and make better those around us. This is the way.
