No matter the mistakes made, the times that broke our hearts ... the biggest mistake is to stop trying. The past cannot be erased, it remains there, invisible, to alert us as an alarm bell when circumstances become threatening, but if we look ahead we will discover new future possibilities. Let's not let a disappointment stop us from finding love again.
We open our hearts when we feel that the wounds have healed. Even if the past is not gone yet, we must not think that the future has the same color. We can always change our vision and adopt another perspective from which to observe the world. We don't stop trying, we look for the best for us, what makes us happy and when we have it, let's take care of it. Nothing is like loving.
Said this, let us not forget that we will only be able to glimpse a better future when we stop crying over spilled milk and the past no longer weighs on us. For this purpose, we try to fill our emotional suitcase with experiences useful for growth, instead of fears that imprison us and do not make us move forward.
To close the doors to love because of suffering or to stop trusting others because of a betrayal is to give up, simply to surrender to the circumstances. We forget that love is the best antidote to pain.
Does love care?
Does love heal everything? Maybe not, maybe yes, who knows ... But of one thing we can be sure: if we don't try, we will never know. If we hide, we close ourselves out of fear of the ghosts of the past or because we believe that they are all the same, if we have made disillusionment our lifestyle because they have hurt us, we will hardly be able to find out. If we avoid love because of past stories, we will somehow continue to keep them alive.
It's not easy; moreover, the greater the number of negative experiences accumulated, the harder our armor will be. We may need strength in large doses to break it. But don't worry, it takes time and care to heal. The important thing is to be aware of it, pay attention and not punish yourself or limit yourself.
Time will give new opportunities, as long as we are willing to take them. Love is out there. Everyone knows how to find it in his own way, in other people or in other places. In fact, it doesn't need to be love for someone, even love for music allows you to believe in a different future, love for children, for friends, for travel ... We must discover for ourselves which love makes us see the future differently.
Love is understanding the past
After having found it and working hard to make it grow, it is important to understand that it is not enough just to love, one must also understand. Each person brings their own story with them, so some need more time than others.
Love does not erase, but it gives the opportunity to paint something new and with the colors we want. We are the artists.
The traces of the past accompany us and, therefore, make us what we are in the present moment. In us lies the possibility of giving them new meaning and making a profit. Let's not forget that thanks to them we will be able to build new experiences.
Let's not let the past be the only element that defines us, let's give ourselves new opportunities, understand and feel free to try again. It may be that love does not erase what we have lived, but it certainly gives a new meaning to the future.
