Our chills tell our story

Last update: May 30, 2016

We belong to the one who made us tremble, even if it happened only once in our life. We choose who causes us a vibration in the body and, above all, in the soul. We belong to those thrills that we will never forget, those that make us feel alive.

In this sense, it is always said that we are made up of little everyday stories, which, all together, form ours. However, we are also made of chills: what makes us feel in this world, rightly, is what binds us to it and what moves us, which allows us to dream and realize.

Whoever enters our history will remain there forever

Of course, if we look inside ourselves for a moment, we will discover everything we are talking about: we will see people and smiles, we will feel caresses, we will return to dry tears and we will evoke small details that make us a little bigger.

“When did so many details end up in the drawer?

But you wanted to become a memory

and right here you are

dusted

set aside

and with an old smile on a sour sheet ...

It happens that when one shakes the drawer of memories

are the memories that end up shaking him ... "

-Andrés Castuera Micher-

If you keep getting lost, you will discover a whole world of memories that will overturn you again, as if you went back in time. There you will find everything in life that has arrived and stopped forever, in the form of touch, smells, senses.

All this will remain there until the day of your death: it will accompany you as small special signs, like those shivers that have made you feel part of the time.

The thrill is our selective memory

We all know that, in matters of forgetfulness and memory, our mind decides, for certain reasons, to remain with a rather fragmentary vision of what we have experienced. It is as if there is not enough space for how long we can get to live, therefore having to select only what we want to keep.

However, our selective memory does all the work on its own. How many times have you tried to remember someone's name, phone number or anything else everyday? It is normal that we can forget about something, but you can always remember those first few times that made you react to the world as you never did before.

"We are our memory, we are that chimerical museum of inconstant shapes, that heap of broken mirrors."

-Jorge Luís Borges-

They are all chills. Seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks and months that will not return to manifest themselves or that may repeat themselves every time we close our eyes and return to them ... They are memories of sensations and feelings.

Don't stop, look for new thrills that keep telling you who you are

It is true that we live off our memories, but we also live on what we are capable of obtaining again, and then convert it into memory. Our present should be a constant search for things that make us vibrate.

“Nobody has the absolute truth. Seek your own truth: the one that makes you vibrate, that connects you with your 'inner self'; the one that makes you grow as an individual and, at the same time, as part of the whole. "

-Anonymous-

Of past memories, we can get tired: it's not about parting with them, is to create new ones that complement those we already have. We cannot let the book end sooner than expected, we must rather know how to take advantage of every page and write everything we can.

If you have the chills, then, let yourself be permeated and filled. If they have made you happy, don't ask yourself: you live to feel. Never contradict a thrill, don't ignore it. You don't want to run away from it, that's never the answer.
