A few days ago a dear friend told me that "time puts everything in its place". Since that moment I have thought about it several times, and in the end I decided to use this space to share my reflections. Some call it God, others Allah, others Yahweh and others simply believe in that mysterious entity called "karma" that judges us from beyond. Everyone believes in what their culture, religion or life experience has indicated to them.
However, what is true about this statement? Really our destiny is already written, depending on what happens to us? I believe that this is partly true, but not in such a rigid or binding way. Rather, I believe that it is ourselves, with our actions, who really have the power to make good or bad things happen to us. In my case, when I had to go through difficult times during my childhood, I always tried to look forward, to know myself better, and I took advantage of the moments of crisis in my life to realize that no one could affect or deform the my happiness. And, thanks to this, I was partly able to find my place in life again. I was able to redirect my path.
Always look ahead
Many of you will be wondering how we can make sure that life always holds wonderful moments and experiences for us. Obviously there is no magic formula that works exactly. Something will always happen to us that we don't like, and that doesn't mean we deserve it or that we're bad people, anything like that. They are simply moments that we have to overcome, to grow as people and become emotionally stronger. When we do, better times will surely come. Sooner or later, they always come.
For things to happen to us that make us happy, we need to be positive. Positivity is a really powerful weapon that many people ignore. If we can master it, its results will surprise us. Therefore, when something negative happens to us, try to find a solution quickly, to immediately see the positive side. In this way you will gain self-esteem and increase your self-confidence, because you will have managed to get yourself out of trouble by yourself. You will understand that you are strong, decisive and capable of dealing with anything that gets in your way. Do you see? Positivity generates other positivity.
Favors always come back
In the same way, one way to feed this "power" is helping others. If we are able to listen to the people close to us and support them when they have a problem, trying to help them solve it, then for sure we will feel better about ourselves. This is also a way of increasing our self-esteem, because we will have become better people. Plus, if you do someone a favor, that friend is sure to remember you when you need them. So much for everyone!
If, on the other hand, you feed only your own negativity, you can be sure that you will only be able to attract more. There is no point in lying in bed complaining and pitying ourselves (at least, not in the long term) in the face of any difficulty. Indeed, this is the right time to take the bull by the horns and face reality as it presents itself. When you do, you will certainly be able to see the bright side of what has happened to you. Just as the ancient Chinese proverb says: "Falling seven times, getting up eight".
