Laughter and smiles have enormous power. All of you will have been infected when someone in your group starts laughing, you just laugh too, without really knowing why you do it.. Do you prefer smiling people or those who always have a serious expression?
All of this has a scientific explanation linked to the fact that we are programmed to be sociable people, so laughter facilitates relationships with others. Our brain prepares us to relate by ensuring the biological basis that favors interaction with others and empathy.
Mirror neurons are neurons that fire when we see someone doing something, so we laugh when we see someone else doing it.. This is why it is so important to smile, because we project our action on others who will replicate it in turn.
In addition to helping us to relate to others and making us seem pleasant, laughter has other benefits:
1. They have a moderate analgesic effect, so they help to better tolerate physical pain.
2. They enhance positive emotions and minimize negative ones, so they make you feel in a good mood.
3. They help cope with problems better.
4. They reduce stress levels.
5. They improve social relationships, they are a great way to break the ice.
6. They enhance the creative ability and imagination.
And you? Don't you want to experience all the benefits of laughter? You can do it, just commit yourself every day and try to always see the positive side of things.
