The goals that the society or culture we live in tend to put along our path often end up being the ones we accept. It is then that, perhaps, we will realize that, in reality, it is not what we want: we came into the world to be ourselves, we do not let ourselves go away from our essence.
Whether it's out of fear, shyness or even laziness, sometimes we adapt to what others decide for us and forget the most important thing: no one is able to shape us, shape us, or shape us more authentically than we would ourselves.
Don't be afraid of what the world thinks of you
Our personality is formed starting from the experiences we live and, therefore, sometimes the idea that others have of us ends up conditioning us in a way that we do not even imagine. For this reason, it is important to know who we are and to defend our tastes, opinions and thoughts. Being yourself is essential to discover yourself and to grow as a person.
It is normal to be afraid when we notice that we are different in something, but isn't it true that everyone has a characteristic that others can consider "strange"? And isn't it true that this is what makes us unique?
Being afraid is a signal of conscience and fighting it is a symptom of rigor and temperance that helps us achieve spiritual well-being. In this regard, it is always better to follow the path that we consider the most suitable for us.
“To be beautiful means to be yourself. It is not necessary to be accepted by others. It is necessary to accept oneself ”.
-Thich Nhat Hanh-
We must also listen to the advice of the people who love us, because it is they who want the best for us and who, above all, accept our personality even if sometimes they do not understand it. Opening our heart means being ourselves and showing our feelings can make it easier.
Being yourself is why they love you
There are times when we need some time to accept who we are. Especially because we think that others will reject us because of our race, our sexual orientation, or even the magnitude of our goals.
There is nothing wrong with taking the time to be yourself, because first of all we have to be sure of who we are: if there is one thing for sure, it is that the people who love us will accept us unconditionally, but maybe they too will need their time.
At the end, what matters is the happiness we get, which is greater the fewer masks we wear. For this reason, it is good to calmly discover yourself, step away from being someone we are not and learn from the reflection that this process involves.
Only when we believe in ourselves can we risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight or any experience that reveals the human spirit.
-E. E. Cummings-
Being yourself means discovering the magic in you and your loved ones will be very happy to see you happy to have it. Give your most sincere essence, allow yourself to shine and the world around you will shine with you. Love each other and you will find the place in the world that belongs to you.
Stop getting distracted: love yourself for who you are
Being yourself is the main reason why you are alive and on this earth: delighting, loving and making the most of every minute should be some of your must-have goals. Trying to express each of these feelings to discover yourself is the most precious gift that you can do, and not only to yourself, but also to all those who need you.
It is to be admired who accepts his own defects and contradictions and who loves himself in spite of this. Brave is the one who looks through all the different dimensions and who grows thanks to the differences he finds there. For this reason, do not get distracted, do not listen to those who maliciously do not believe in you, do not throw in the towel and do not look for yourself where you are not.
“To be yourself, you put something wonderful in the world that wasn't there before”.
-Edwin Elliot-
Discover yourself in front of yourself and, when you feel ready, discover yourself in front of others: honest fruits are the only ones that are never forgotten. With your unique beauty and unique imperfections, others will thank you and you will thank you too.
